Kiva.org's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. We believe that micro lending helps empower people in the short and long term by creating true economic opportunity, which in turn helps create systemic change. One component of our mission statement is the discovery of solutions to problems that couple immediate needs with systemic change. We believe that Kiva.org’s values are aligned with our own and that is why we support Kiva's work through the creation and championing of a Kiva lending team.
